Case Results June 2015-February 2016

February 2016: Trial judge grants ELG client's motion under CCP 1033(a) to deny Plaintiff any costs after jury verdict. In same hearing, Client of ELG is awarded costs in excess of $6,200 which surpasses the Plaintiff's jury award of $4,000.

December 2015: ELG enters into representation agreement with former MLB All-Star Felipe Lopez.

November 2015: After nine-day jury trial in Torrance, Chad Eberhardt succesfully defended injury claims in excess of $600,000 brought by alleged injured patron at a bar. Plaintiff's verdict of $4,000 was below the final offer of $10,000 allowing ELG client to receive reimbursement for thousands of dollars in fees and costs.

October 2015: On first day of trial in Santa Ana and after favorable trial rulings by the trial judge, ELG client entered intlo settlement for terms which were more favorable than those offered at mediation.

September 2015: Client Jeremy Kehrt, fresh off a season where he was selected as AA All-Star, re-signs with Los Angeles Dodgers for 2016. Kehrt would also agree to terms for a winterball deal for Caragaus of the Puerto Rican winterball league.

July 2015: ELG client Colton Plaia, catcher in the New York Mets organization, was selected to Florida State All-Star team.

June 2015: ELG client Jonas Wyatt was selecetd by the Cleveland Indians in the 6th round of the MLB Amatuer Draft and signed for $253,000.
